Dr. Mitra Assadi MD(Biography)
Dr. Mitra Assadi is director of the Headache Medicine and Pediatric Neurology at the Capital Institute for Neurosciences. Board certified in neurology and clinical neurophysiology, Dr. Assadi was among one of the first neurologists in the United States to obtain a board certification in headache medicine in 2008. Dr. Assadi is actively involved in teaching and research. She is a Professor of Neurology at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and the Director of the Neurology Clerkship at Capital Health system. Dr. Assadi’s research has mostly focused on neuro-genetic disorders, in particular leukodystrophies. She has served as a clinical investigator at the Center for Cell and Gene Therapy at the Rowan University since 2004. She has special expertise in Canavan Disease and her published research on the use of lithium in Canavan patients has established the standard of care for these patients in the scientific community.

Dr. Isaac G. Onyango is a Senior Scientist at Gencia. His work utilizes molecular and biochemical analysis of signaling pathways after genetic, pharmacological, and/or physiological manipulation to interrogate their effects on cellular bioenergetics. Prior to joining Gencia he held faculty positions at the University Of Virginia Department Of Neuroscience and Neurology and the University of Kansas Department of Neurology and Molecular and Integrative Physiology. Isaac received his Ph.D. from Uppsala University.

Associate Professor Herbert Jelinek received the B.Sc. (Hons.) degree in human genetics from the University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia, followed by a Graduate Diploma in neuroscience from the Australian National University, Canberra, Australia, and his PhD. degree in medicine from the University of Sydney, Australia. He is a honorary Clinical Associate Professor with the Australian School of Advanced Medicine, Macquarie University, Sydney, Australia, and a member of the Centre for Research in Complex Systems, Charles Sturt University, Albury, Australia. Dr Jelinek has been organizing a rural diabetes complications screening research project for over twenty years in Australia and has published widely in ECG signal processing and diabetic retinopathy image analysis as well as autonomic neuropathy and biomarkers associated with diabetes disease progression. His current research interests include complex trauma and cognitive function, and the effectiveness of biofeedback and neurofeedback. He is a member of the IEEE Biomedical Engineering Society and the Applied neuroscience Society of Australia.

Marco Carotenuto completed his Degree in Medicine and Surgery in 2000 and Specialist degree in Child Adolescent Neuropsychiatry in 2005. In 2008, he completed his Doctorate in Behavioural and Learning Disorders Sciences. From 2008 to 2011, he was a Junior Researcher and from 2011 to 2017, he was a Senior Researcher in Child and Adolescent Neuropsychiatry at Università della Campania Luigi Vanvitelli. In December 2017, he became Associate Professor at Università della Campania Luigi Vanvitelli.

Dr. Davide V Moretti is consultant neurologist, chief of the clinical neurophysiology service and researcher at the National Institute of Research and Cure for Mental disorders and Dementia S John of God, Brescia, Italy. He received his medical degree from Catholic University in Rome and completed his residency in neurology and fellowship in movement disorders at University of Trieste, Italy. Moreover, he received the Ph.D. in neurophysiology at La Sapienza University (thesis title “ Quantitative EEG in Alzheimer's diseaseâ€). Dr Moretti is currently involved in research and care of subjects with Alzheimer's disease and dementia in the Memory Clinic/Alzheimer Operative Unit of the S. John of God Institute. Moreover, he is the chief of the clinical neurophysiology unit. His research is primarily concerned about quantitative EEG evaluation of Alzheimer's patients both in the prodromic and clinically evident phase of the disease
